ZR Renewable Energy Private Limited, which is an IPP has successfully commissioned the 16MW Wind Power Project in Anantapur as on August 2016.

Prime location of land resource available (35 acres), and it has been handed over  to ZR Renewable Energy Private Limited by the nodal agency, NREDCAP and the Government of Andhra Pradesh and construction of the project has started. The identified site is at Talaricheruvu which is about 60 kilometres from Anantapur. The approximate elevation of the location is 360 metres above mean sea level. The weather is normally dry and there is not much vegetation on the ridges. The site is well connected by asphalt road which runs from Anantapur to Kadapa.

Technical Information

ZR Renewable Energy Private Limited has installed INOX Wind Energy Generators which are of 80m height and 93m rotor diameter. The capacity of each machine is 2MW and 8 such turbines have been installed at the site." These machines have a proven track record and provide the best effeciency

Infrastructure

The site is very well connected to the highway and has public conveyance for movement of persons and material. As the site is very close to the town of Anantapur, there will not be any problem for movement of machinery during the erection of the project.

The District Head Quarters Anantapur is a developed town and all types of accommodation and transport facilities are available. Anantapur town is connected to all the important towns in Andhra Pradesh and is approximately 210 kilometres from Bangalore city on the National Highway No. 7. The nearest seaport is Chennai, which is about 400 kilometres from Anantapur. Skilled and unskilled labour is available for the execution of the project.
